Wow, thanks so much to all the college radio stations out there supporting All the Brown and Green. Really appreciate it. Please feel free to call your local station and request a tune or two from the new album.

I've written some short stories and put them on a website. Go ahead and read them and let me know your thoughts. The site is called Reverse Decapitation Kit. And always remember: It's never easy putting your head back on, but it's not impossible.
Well, as some of you know I started a little record label called Meaningless World Records in 2011. The idea behind the label was to put out my albums as well as some side projects. MWR put out Warren Teagarden and The Good Grief in September of 2011. We've just finished a new album and it should be released in fall or winter of 2013. After that I've got a few more ideas in the works. First, I think it'd be nice put out Ugly as a Monkey on vinyl. Second, I've got some other songs written (well, partially written) that I don't want to release as "Warren Teagarden" songs. These other songs owe a lot to my love of Dead Milkmen and Ween and bands like that. So I've been kicking around the idea of doing a band called Wet Hugs in which I could play some silly-as-shit type numbers without encroaching on the quiet somber dignity of Warren "This Song Is About Sex With An Alien" Teagarden. Details on the third project are a bit up in the air, but it involves most or all of the members of my backing band The Good Grief. More info coming soon.
A few years ago I embarked on a project of calendographic insanity. I set the goal for myself to see 30 shows in 30 nights in San Francisco in the month of September 2008. Well, I was sick one night and another night I just could not find a show I wanted to attend. I saw only 28 shows in that September. Well, I have failed before and I will surely fail again but this particular bungle just will not stand. There is time still for a little more insanity is there not? History repeats itself and so do I. In September of 2013 I will again attempt to see 30 shows in 30 nights in San Francisco. Please take a look at this here site for more information. I am bound and determined to make amends for all previous oversights and omissions. This September will indeed be a September of Insanity! Nothing can stop me! History repeats itself and so do I.
Warren Teagarden and The Good Grief continues to do amazingly well on college radio across the country. I'm still working on getting it reviewed too, so stay tuned for updates on that. Releasing this album has been a ton work but a lot of fun too. Really appreciate the efforts of Anthony, Okay, Steven, Rich, Octavian, my dear wife, and Greg for all the hard work on that thing. It was fun, wasn't it?
But right now I'm trying to get some shows together and get some videos done. Also continuing to reach out and try to get the album covered in blogs/zines and stuff like that. And next year we're going on tour again, so that should be fun. And if all that isn't enough, I've been busy writing the next album. Damn! Until then, keep listening and and stay awesome. Yep. Got a blog going. I always used to complain about how hard it was to update my old website. Now that I've got a new site and it's really easy to update I guess I'll actually have to start doing it with some degree of regularity. Progress is painful. On the bright side, the new album is doing well on college radio. And I'll have some songs here on the site within a day or two. If there are any songs you want me to put up just let me know. I mean, my songs. Don't go requestin' no Bee Gees.

I'm a singer/songwriter from San Francisco doing punk based indie pop type stuff. I also really like cats. (The animal not the musical.) Archives
